in a large saucepan, bring about 3 inches of water to a boil and place the artichokes, face up in the water
cover with lid and gently boil for about 30 minutes
meanwhile melt butter in another saucepan add garlic- keep warm until artichoke is finished cooking
when it’s done cooking put on a plate, pour butter into a bowl and put on plate
pull off a leaf, holding it at the pointed end, dip in butter, and pull it between your teeth scraping off the meat. (it’s not a lot in the beginning, but as you get closer to the heart the leaves get meatier)
once the leaves are gone, scrape the fuzzy stuff away and roll the delicious heart in the rest of your butter and enjoy!
